I have always hated actually affirmations, because I feel ridiculous, talking to myself…I immediately get up in my head and start arguing with myself…But when I sing, it drops me right into my heart space, and there’s no arguing with a song.

Now having that song and being able to sing it to myself whenever I need a little pick me up or I’m getting ready to do something exciting, it’s wonderful.

When Lowry mentioned this concept to me I thought “No, not for me. Not, not a PowerSong. Not singing. Singing, especially by myself in public. That’s right up there with with stand up comedy. Two things I would never do.”
However, when he described it to me I thought, what the heck, I’ll try it because I actually trust Lowry. And so we worked very quickly to put together what he would call a PowerSong. I’m not sure what I would call it. I just I just like it.
And it’s one of those things that I don’t sing out loud. When I’m in public. When I’m just out in front of my office, when I’m walking to the park or sometimes in the car, I just I just sing the words. And it’s so much more powerful than just having a mantra or a phrase that I say because she takes commitment for me to sing. And when I sing it, it also makes me stop and say, Oh, I’m not there yet. This is what I aspire to.
So, it’s a way to remain mindful about what’s what’s important to me. So grateful… I highly recommend it whether you sing or not!

I love singing it every day. I start first thing in the morning. I often sing it at lunchtime and at the end of the day as well.

What I love about how we worked together was that you took my affirmations. You took my many notes. You took everything I sent you …which was hard, actually, to share the very personal parts of my life with someone on the outside, but you took all of it. And you distilled it down to those beautiful words. “This is my time. I’m rising strong. Joy comes easy now. It’s where I belong.”
Magical… the way that you took the most intimate information and helped me co-create the song with you. It was a joy. Thankyou for being so patient.
I want to recommend Lowry’s work, because it’s going to, it’s going to give your affirmations an added boost, it’s going to give YOU an added boost.

I want you to be very aware of this fabulous, fabulous tool. You can do your own personalized song with Lowry. It took us about, I think about 45, minutes. Then he went and refined it.
But it was the process that was amazingly, wonderfully enjoyable. And what we produced just thrills me. I just really like it.
